How to Write a Cookbook and Make it Sell
October 12th. 2007, 12:37pmYour Recipes Could Be Worth Thousands - Here’s How:
I receive many emails from subscribers who have created and
collected a lot of recipes over the years. Many of them often say
they would like to write their own cookbook one day but don’t know
where to start. They also don’t realize how easy it is to do and
how much they can potentially make from a good idea for a cookbook.
Yes, I know that’s easy for me to say as the author of 5
self published cookbooks which collectively have sold over 30,000
copies. But, the truth is, people love cookbooks! Many
people collect them and they make great gifts, especially for
Christmas. It makes sense because people have to eat, right?
And, as crazy as it sounds, I have developed a system that anyone
can use for creating and publishing a cookbook in under 30 days and
for under $300. This system includes an exact blueprint you can
use to sell at least 250 copies of your cookbook in the next 60
days. At an average of $15 per book, you can do the math.
I’m nuts right? Well, no because I’ve done it from start to finish
and sold thousands of books in less than 60 days. But I’m not here
to sell you anything today. I’m in the process of completing a
“tell all” online course which will reveal my proven system and I
want to see if this is something you might be interested in. If
so, give me some feedback by clicking “Comments.”
I’d like to know what you think and what you would like to see
included in the course.
Also, if you’re interested in other opportunities such as this,
consider getting my free newsletter where I provide a complimentary
ebook and videos discussing what I do and how I got started:
http://www.publisheracademy.com
I figure by publicly announcing the new course and the new site it
will put some pressure on me and motivate me to get it done.

I think that creating a recipe book is a great idea. I would be interested in knowing the best way to start, what software to use to organize the recipes, and what you think is the best method: digital or print? Thanks and lets see more of these great ideas.

I would be very interested in writing a cookbook, especially desserts. We used to own a bakery and some of the recipes go back to the 1800’s. I would also be interested in a program that can help with the transferring of lbs and oz into cups and teaspoons.

I have been reading your comments and newsletter for years and never felt I needed to respond - everyone was saying what I wanted to say but, now - WOW the need to speak up is here - please, I am so excited about writing the cookbook. I have always wanted to preserve our old family recipes and pass them along to future generations before they are lost. I have tried to write a cookbook in the past but have not found the right ‘recipe’ for it yet … hopefully you will have the secret to make it work.

I would love to be able to have my own cookbook published. I have thought about doing it for years, but have never got started. maybe now is the time. I would like to hear more on this subject. I have so many ideas!

I have tons of cookbooks and recipes I have collected over the years. I too would love to be able to have my own cookbook. I would want my cookbook to only contain tried and true recipes. I feel presenting a recipe is like cooking for your family with love. You would not prepare a meal for your family that is not satisfying and delicious. I feel the same should hold true for any cookbook presented to the public. Every cook has their own special touch. I believe every recipe has room for improvement. I will prepare a firt-time receipe by letter, but if I feel I can add something to make it better, I will go for it. Cooking is truly an art.

I have been cooking since I was a young child. I have many self-made recipes and many recipes that I have my own improvements to. I would like to know how to make a cookbook to sell my recipes. Cooking is one of my most favorite things to do. Good food that tastes good will always make a person smile and be happy.

Hi Ron,
I have so many recipes. I could cook for years and never repeat one. I have put some in a book that was sold for charity through my work, but I have been wanting to put together a library of all that I have.
